Peel and stick wallpaper installation on a Rock Hill accent wall

We covered one 95 square foot wall in a suite at Image Studios in Rock Hill with a sage green wildflower peel-and-stick wallpaper. Alex hung it in about three hours.

What the job was

The suite is at Image Studios on Celanese Road in Rock Hill. It had white walls, a drop ceiling and black baseboard. The client wanted one wall papered. It measured 95 square feet.

We ran the paper from the baseboard up to the ceiling grid and cut it around the light switch and the outlet on that wall.

The paste we brought and did not need

Before the visit, nobody on the project was sure what kind of wallpaper had been ordered. Alex found out only when he arrived and saw the rolls, so he carried a bucket of paste in from the van to be ready for either kind.

It was peel-and-stick, which has its adhesive on the back, so the paste was not needed. That is why we ask for a link to the paper before we come. The link tells us the type, the roll size and how many rolls the wall takes, and the day goes to plan.

The paper

Sage Green Wildflower is a design from the Etsy shop DreamyWallpaperStudi: small white wildflowers on a soft sage green ground. The shop sells the same design in five versions, two that are pasted and three that are peel-and-stick. This wall was peel-and-stick.

Every version comes in rolls 24 inches wide, sold by length. On 8 October 2026 the Smooth peel-and-stick version in a 24 by 108 inch roll, about 18 square feet, was listed at $62 on sale, down from $103.33. That is about $3.44 per square foot at the sale price. Etsy prices change, so check the listing before you order.

Why peel-and-stick still goes better with an installer

Peel-and-stick is sold as a DIY product, and on a small piece it can be. A full wall is different. The backing grabs as soon as it touches the wall, so the first strip has to go up straight, and every strip after it has to line up with the pattern on the one before. The shop's own instructions call for overlapping the seams, which takes a steady hand to keep neat across a whole wall.

In the photos you can see the two tools that make the finish: a soft sponge to smooth each strip from the middle out, and a seam roller to press the joins flat.

One limit worth knowing before you buy: peel-and-stick will not hold on a sun-facing wall. If you are not sure about yours, send us a photo and we will tell you.
